Come

“Come to me.”
(Matthew 11:28)

God’s message to us is a gentle request – “come”.
Yes, a simple request, but one that is so profound in the breadth of its love; extended to us each and every day.  It is a simple statement made by a loving God to His flock.

Lord, may I be open to You and what you are calling of me this day.
May I come to you with the same trust that a child takes;
   with his first steps walking towards his mother or father.
May I come to You with a complete trust;
   One without reservations.
May my heart remain open for you to work in this season of my life;
   In ways that I cannot even imagine.
May my activities of my day not distract me from your simple request;
   But may they allow me to focus on you and your true strength in my life.
Come Lord Jesus
   Come.

“Follow me.”
(John 21:19)
