Amos 4

Father, how distant can I feel from you?  How much have I wronged you in my sin?

Prepare to meet your God; he who makes the mountains.  I do not deserve to be spared from my wrong-doing against you.  Every form of disaster is befitting of me.

But, it is in you Lord that I have hope.  My hope rests in you even in the midst of my difficulties.  I thank you for your graciousness in the midst of the wrongs I have done against you.

Lord, you are truly in command of this world and all that it has to offer.  In this fact I can find hope, knowing that you are in control.  All that is occurring is doing so for a purpose and reason, and it will ultimately a occurring for your good will and purpose.  I thank you for that and the hope and grace that you extend to us through the revelation of your Son Jesus Christ.
