Psa. 139: You know me

O Lord, you have searched me and know me. You know my sitting down and my rising up; you understand my thought afar off. You comprehend my path and my lying down, and you are acquainted with all my ways.” Psa. 139:1-3

Lord, you know me better than I know myself. How easy it is for me to think I now what is best for myself. In actuality, it is You who knows what is best, and what is best for our relationship. You have my best interest at heart, which will ultimately be for my best good even though it may not be what I would like to hear. You are the one who knows me best, what is best for my life, and what is best for the relationship we share.

Lord, I repent of the times that I have downplayed the role you have in my life, your intense desire to do the best for me, and to have the most intimate relationship possible. Help me to defer to your leading and instruction in my life, as you always provide the best for me.
